It’s true that unemployment is very high right now. And that we’re in an economical recession. But the key to getting out of this slump is to actually spend money. Just like the article http://monkeyjars.wordpress.com/2008/04/15/spend-spend-spend/ says.

By spending money, you’re stimulating the economy. A.k.a. money is changing hands, but to better our situation. If we all went out and spent our stimulus check from the federal government on sweaters, then sweaters would fly from the shelves. More sweaters would then need to be made. By whom? You guessed it.

The “hiring” ads would start to pop up in every industry. It would start with factory workers and truck drivers and soon lead to the marketing department and sales teams. An avalanche of new jobs in almost every market would open up and so on.

Once paid, those employees would then go out and spend it on other things, which would lead right back to the beginning. In this way, the economy bounces back and unemployment starts to diminish. Sounds good, right?

Well, the good news is, yes. The bad news is, it takes this time of economical uncertainty to fuel that fire. But at least there is an up side that comes from it. And in a time when you can’t be positive about anything, that’s comforting.
